At first I didn't understand the point of this article. But after re-reading it fifteen times, I realized that the author is comparing people who buy the first animal they see in the "Pet Yellow Pages" to people who buy the first story they hear about 9/11.
You must be a literary critic.
Fourteen times would have sufficed.
Next time, quit while you're ahead.
