IRAN DEFEATS TRUMP

Happy US Embassy takeover and Jimmy Carter loss anniversary!

For the second time in its 47-year history, the Islamic Republic of Iran has demolished an American presidency. Once again, the defining moment came on November 4, when the world woke up to news of Trump’s crushing defeat in the midterms.

On 11/4/79—exactly 47 years ago today—Iranian students heroically scaled the walls of the US embassy, disarmed a US Marine contingent (inflicting and suffering zero casualties) and took over the compound. They discovered that the entire second floor of the main building, the Chancery, consisted of wall-to-wall eavesdropping equipment. The entire Tehran communications system had been routed through the CIA-run US embassy!

Frantic CIA spooks managed to shred thousands of pages of documentary evidence of their crimes before they were taken hostage by the students, who subsequently, displaying astounding ingenuity and perseverance, successfully reassembled and published virtually all of the thousands of pages The result is a 77-volume book series titled “Documents from the U.S. Espionage Den”.

The students kept the US occupation criminals incarcerated in their own “den of espionage” for 444 days, releasing them just a few minutes after Ronald Reagan—who defeated incumbent Jimmy Carter due to the hostage crisis—took the oath of office. In other words, Iran deliberately destroyed Carter’s presidency, sending a powerful message. Trump didn’t get the message. Now he is suffering a similar fate.

Any November 4th is a good day to listen to the Iranian revolutionary anthem “Iran Iran Iran”—but today is an especially delicious anniversary for indulging in some classic Islamic Revolution music.

And while you’re enjoying that golden oldie, get a load of last night’s election returns! Kosher Nostra carnival barker Trump and his army of brain-dead sycophants just suffered one of the greatest all-time political drubbings in US history. To say that Assman Trump got his rear end kicked would be an understatement. And though some, like Sulaiman Ahmed and Ryan Dawson, are saying “Israel Wins US Elections Again” due to the heavy Zionist influence on both parties, that’s only a half-truth. 80% of Democrats now hold an unfavorable view of Israel, so the newly-elected reps, despite still having to worry about Zio-money, Zio-media, Epstein-style blackmail, and potential assassination, are likely to be less Israel-centric than any Congress in the post-JFK-assassination era.

Trump, like Carter before him, was demolished by Iran. Like Carter with his hostage crisis, Trump found himself embroiled in a conflict with Iran that he couldn’t win.

The 366 days between the November 4, 1979 embassy takeover and the November 4, 1980 elections that Carter lost were dominated by headlines and discussions about the hostage crisis. With each passing day, Carter looked more and more helpless. On April 24-25, 1980, Carter sent Navy helicopters and C-130 transport planes to try to retrieve the hostages. “Operation Eagle Claw” failed spectacularly. A helicopter collided with a C-130, killing 8 service members. The eagle turned its tail feathers and fled. Iran captured five intact helicopters, secret documents, and the bodies of all eight US troops. Carter’s fate was sealed.

Interlude: For a discussion of how the Reagan campaign secretly worked out a deal with Iran to keep the hostages locked up in order to defeat Carter, check out my interviews with the two authors of two different books titled October Surprise, Barbara Honegger and Gary Sick (interview write-up here.) Note that this “conspiracy theory” was dismissed as mad paranoid raving for decades, until finally, on March 18, 2023, the mainstream media finally admitted it was true, thanks to the late-life confession of Ben Barnes, a participant in the Reagan campaign’s treasonous deal.

On April 3, 2026, following in Carter’s footsteps, Trump ordered “Operation Eagle Claw II.” An assortment of US military planes, drones, and helicopters swarmed toward Natanz, Iran’s primary nuclear enrichment site, with plans to shoot their way in, grab the uranium, and abscond. Iran caught them by surprise. Before it was over, an F-15E had been shot down, and wreckage of US helicopters, drones, and troop transport aircraft were strewn all over the landing site.

Unfortunate the US media of 2026, under near-complete Zionist domination, was no longer free to report on Eagle Claw II the way it had reported on Eagle Claw I. Still, Americans, though largely treated like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed excrement) could not help but notice that Trump’s war on Iran was a complete disaster. In almost the same breath, Trump would insist that the Iranian nuclear program had been completely and permanently demolished, and then say or hint that he was going to have to resort to nuclear weapons to try to stop that same Iranian nuclear program! Meanwhile, Iran kept choking the Strait of Hormuz, driving up fuel prices and inflation. Trump’s bizarre responses, mind-bogglingly inconsistent and incoherent, have only underlined his helplessness and incompetence. Compared to 2026 Trump, 1979-1980 “deer in the headlights” Carter actually comes off as relatively rational and in control of the situation.

Trump didn’t help his party with his closing message on election day: “If people get tired of me in the US I’ll move to Israel and become Prime Minister.” The voters responded: “Go for it, Trump! Pack your bags and get out while the gettin’s good.”

The lesson of Carter’s and Trump’s conflicts with Iran is clear: Stop mistreating the Islamic Republic! The Iranians are resourceful, courageous, perseverant, and fully capable of surpassing expectations and annihilating American presidencies. It’s time to apologize and reset: Admit that Iran is a sovereign nation and emerging regional hegemon, and start dealing with it rationally and respectfully, making win-win deals and telling the Genocidal Zionist Entity to go to hell, from whence it came and to which it belongs. Transcript of today’s Press TV interview (video above).

Press TV: What was the historical significance of the November 4, 1979 US embassy takeover?

Kevin Barrett: It was one of the landmark events of the century that put an exclamation point on the landmark revolution of the century. The Russian Revolution didn’t last. Communism ended in 1989. And the Algerian Revolution of roughly 1960 was successful in the short term, but it degenerated to some extent into a military dictatorship.

The Iranian Revolution, by contrast, has lasted. It has endured, created an alternative model of governance, and changed the world. It’s essentially defeated two U.S. presidential administrations. It brought down the Carter administration in 1979, and based on the election results this morning, it’s defeated Donald Trump as well. And frankly, defeating Donald Trump is even more of victory for the forces of good, or at least the forces of less-bad, over the forces of evil.

The US embassy protest by the students, which exposed the fact that the United States Central Intelligence Agency was hiding in the building and devoting a whole floor to eavesdropping and controlling and listening to everything going through telecommunications in Tehran—meaning that they basically owned the place—was momentous. It created a public relations situation in which the whole world’s gaze was riveted on Tehran and on this embassy situation, and on whether the United States, the superpower that had been essentially colonizing Iran until it was thrown out by the revolution, was going to be able to do anything about it militarily.

And they tried and they failed, just as they’re failing today in their war on Iran. And the result has been that we’ve gotten a new model of governance that is currently poised to free West Asia from the U.S. Zionist empire at precisely the moment that the world is transitioning from a unipolar world dominated by the U.S. Zionist empire to a genuinely multipolar world in which these regional nations and blocs will have something approaching real sovereignty. So in a sense, these students played a lead role in freeing the entire world from an era of imperialism and colonialism. Although that process hasn’t finished yet, we’ve certainly moved along, and those students and other people who participated in the Islamic Revolution of 1979 have won their place in history.

Did the students change history?

Yes, of course. Everything that’s happened since, and particularly the horrific war on Iran that’s being waged by this decadent and depraved and incompetent Trump administration that was just rebuked by American voters last night, shows that the people who rose up and overthrew the U.S., indirect occupation of Iran under the Shah, and achieved genuine sovereignty, as well as a genuinely new model of governance, which holds tremendous promise for people of the Muslim world and indeed the whole world—they were on the right side of history. They made the right choice. And that’s become increasingly clear now as the U.S. Empire has reached a hyper-decadent phase where it’s run by billionaire oligarchs who are disproportionately Jewish Zionists, that is, people of Jewish ethnicity, usually not religious at all, who essentially form a sort of a criminal gang based on ethnic ties. That network of Jewish billionaires, which represents about half of the American billionaires and a significant percentage of the Western billionaires in general, is basically loyal to the State of Israel, which functions as their organized crime base.

Those people, with their extraordinary influence in the United States, have put this gangster Trump administration in place to try to finish off Iran, to try to go for some kind of an all-out military solution. The problem for Israel in that Iran is the one significant, powerful country in the region that is dedicated to the Palestinian cause, to justice for the Palestinians, and is willing to sacrifice, is willing to take a hit on its own interests in support of doing the right thing for Palestine, for Lebanon, for Yemen, for Iraq, Syria, and wherever.

Morality actually enters into the calculation. It’s not just pure self-interest. And so that’s a situation that’s really very unusual historically. Most of the time the people who run major countries are forced, essentially, into this web of self-interest around them. They’re caught in the web of self-interest, and they don’t have a lot of choice but to pursue these very self-interested, realpolitik, power-hungry policies. And Iran, with its spiritual and religious guidance and high-level intellectual guidance from that great tradition of the seminaries, has chosen a different path: a path where morality plays a key role in governance.

And the contrast today couldn’t be starker between that system, a system with morality enshrined with its place in governance of a major power, and the United States, where we’ve seen an almost clownishly, almost hilariously immoral buffoon fronting for a gangster regime that has been committing genocide, a livestreamed genocide, for three years now.

And so that contrast has created a kind of a morality play for the world. And the world has been forced to see that their preconceptions from the Zionist media propaganda, is not the true story—that Iran is actually a vastly more sympathetic and a vastly more admirable country than its enemies are today.

And so this is changing the world in many ways, including creating tremendous momentum for the movement for a genuinely multipolar world with genuinely sovereign countries that can choose their own paths in the way that Iran has.
